Cat People (1982)
The 1982 film "Cat People" follows Irena Gallier, a young woman who discovers she is descended from a race of cat people. Upon reuniting with her brother Paul, she learns about their werecat heritage and the need to mate with another werecat to regain human form. As Irena explores her newfound sexuality, she becomes torn between her love for Paul and her attraction to a zoo curator, Oliver. The film delves into themes of identity, sexuality, and the struggle between human and animal instincts, culminating in a psychological and physical transformation that becomes increasingly violent. The movie is a remake of the 1942 film of the same name and features a score by Giorgio Moroder, including the theme song performed by David Bowie.Neo-NoirPT1H58M18USenNastassja Kinski
